As members of the Alberta Teachers' Association begin job action on Monday, October 6, all Grasslands Public Schools will be closed. This includes the cancellation of all classes, supervision, and extracurricular activities.

We know many of you have questions about the potential teacher strike. The Alberta Teachers' Association has voted to reject the proposed agreement, which means strike action could begin as early as Monday, October 6th if an agreement isn’t reached.

Hot lunch next week Wednesday, October 1st will be a burger with a juice box and rice crispy. Elementary students will have order forms sent home today; Jr/Sr kids can find order forms in the office. Hot lunch can be found on School Cash for debit/credit payments order forms still need to be handed in. All orders are due this coming Monday September 29th.

The Invisible Injury: Managing Headaches, Sleep, & Mental Health Symptoms after a Concussion. Dr. Roger Zemek, Dr. Rébecca Robillard, and Dr. Noah Silverberg will highlight the challenges individuals often face after a concussion, including headaches, sleep difficulties, and mental health symptoms, and Sydney Low will share her personal experience. This is a free event, and we hope to reach a wide concussion community including people with lived experience, teachers, coaches, parents and families, health care providers, researchers, and concussion advocates.
